Martin Stead - Managing Director

Martin has been with Abbey since its founding, and has over 16 years in the pneumatic tool industry and in particular service and repair. In 1991 Martin implemented ISO 9000 to business, and has since developed Abbey Industrial Solutions into the top UK Atlas Copco Tools distributor.

Martin is responsible for the day to day running of the business.

Andrew Saxton - Service Centre Manager

Andrew heads the Service Centre and is responsible for every aspect of tool servicing and repair. 

Andrew has been with Abbey for 5 years and brings a wealth of experience from managing blue chip service contracts.  His key achievements to date has been managing the process re-engineering of the Service Centre, which has dramatically reduced the turnaround time on repairs and raised overall quality standards.

John Thompson - Area Sales Manager (North East)

John has over 25 years industry experience dealing with numerous blue chip clients. His areas of expertise include product and manufacturer knowledge.  John takes overall responsibility for the North East zone of the business.

Paul Hadfield - Technical Director

Paul joined Abbey in 1986 and has over 30 years experience in industry. Paul has dealt with a vast array of clients and has hence a broad spectrum of industry knowledge. 

Paul areas of expertise cover tool knowledge, applications, ergonomics and HAVs. He has numerous industry certification, including IOA (Institute of Acoustics) Management of Hand Arm Vibration, and the Art of Ergonomics.
